Chapter 11

Kayden had been driving around all day, going to different real estate agencies looking for a new home for his family. He found a house that he really loved in a gated community. He was looking for more security for his family to keep them safe from harm. He hadn’t heard anything from Midori, so he figured him almost killing her ass had taught the bitch a lesson. Kayden pulled up at Anissa’s mother’s house to see his family; it was time to bring them home. He missed waking up to his wife beside him. He got out and jogged up to the door and knocked.

Anissa opened the door, holding a four- month- old KJ in her arms. She moved out the way, allowing Kayden to come in. As soon as he marched in, he grabbed his son out of her arms and kissed him on his fat chubby cheek.

“What are you feeding my baby, woman? He is fat,” Kayden laughed.

“He just eats all the time; he is greedy, just like his father.” Anissa said.

“Well, he is a growing boy, so I guess it’s alright.”

“I came over to let you know that I’m ready for my family to come home.” Kayden stated.

“Oh, is, that right? Have you found a new house yet?” Anissa asked.

“I have been looking all day, and I found one I really like, but you need to see it and let me know if you want it?”

“Kayden, I want to come home and be a happy family again, but we still have some issues that we need to work on.”

“I know, babe; I’m sorry about everything. I swear to you, I will never cheat on you again,” Kayden sighed.

“How am I supposed to believe that, just because you say it? I mean, I could get pregnant again and can’t have sex. Will you cheat on me then? That’s the question I keep asking myself.”

“Baby, that was a fucked- up thing to do, and I know this! I swear on my pops’ grave, I will never make that same mistake.”

“How am I supposed to believe you, Kayden?”

“You just have to trust me, babe.” Kayden responded.

“I don’t know, but let me think about it.” Anissa wanted to believe her husband, but she wasn’t sure if she could.

“I can respect that, but can I take you out to dinner tonight?”

“Sure, what time?”

“How about seven? I can be here to pick you up and look sexy too,” Kayden teased.

“I’m always sexy, nigga; don’t play me.” Anissa laughed.
